A good bat grip gives you better control, soaks up sting, and lets you set the bat up the way you like it. We stock baseball and softball grips and tape from the brands players ask for, including Lizard Skins and Naked Grips, in a range of thicknesses and designs.
Choosing the right grip
Material
Synthetic grips are hard-wearing and stay tacky in most conditions. Softer grips add cushioning, which helps if you get sore hands over a long day at the plate.
Thickness
Thinner grips (around 0.5mm) keep the feel of the handle and suit players who want feedback and quick hands. Thicker grips (around 1.0 to 1.1mm) absorb more vibration and take the sting out of mishits, which many players prefer on alloy bats.
Design
Grips are also a chance to make the bat your own. Naked Grips run bold artist-series prints, and Lizard Skins, the grip used across Major League Baseball, offers signature and patterned options. All install easily and are simple to replace when they wear.
