Frequently Asked Questions

Returns and exchanges

Do you have a store I can visit, or somewhere I can drop off a return?

We're an online store, so we don't have a shopfront or a drop-off point for customers. Our warehouse isn't set up as a public counter, so we can't take returns or exchanges in person.

Everything comes back to us by post. Lodge your return through your CMD Sports My Account page and we'll email you the return address and the steps once it's approved.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Head to your CMD Sports My Account page and lodge the return there. We'll review it and send you an approval email with the return address and instructions.

Once you have that email, pack the item in as-new condition with the original tags and packaging, include a note with your order number and surname, post it to the address in the approval email, and keep your tracking number.

Please wait for the approval email before posting anything back, so we can match your return to your order.

How long do I have to return something?

You have 30 days from the day your order is delivered to lodge a return for change of mind or a wrong size.

Faulty or incorrect items sit outside that window. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law still apply, so get in touch whenever the problem shows up.

Who pays for return postage?

For a change of mind or a size swap, the return postage is yours to cover. On an exchange, we cover the cost of sending the replacement back out to you.

If the item is faulty, was sent in error, or doesn't match the description, we cover the postage both ways.

How does an exchange work?

Lodge the return through your CMD Sports My Account page and tell us which size or colour you want. If it's in stock we'll set it aside for you, so it's ready to go the moment your return arrives.

We ship the replacement once the original item is back and checked. If you need it sooner, place a new order for the size you want and lodge the first one as a refund instead. That way you're not waiting on the post twice.

What if the size I want has sold out?

We'll tell you before you post anything back. From there you can pick a different colourway if one is available in your size, take a refund, or wait for the next delivery if the size is on its way back in. We'll give you the timing we have so you can decide.

What condition does the item need to be in?

As-new and unworn, with all original tags and packaging. Footwear should only be tried on indoors, and the shoebox needs to come back undamaged and unmarked, so please don't use it as the postage carton.

We can't accept anything that's been worn, washed, misused or modified after delivery.

Can I return a clearance or sale item?

Clearance items are sold as final and can't be returned for change of mind or a size swap.

Australian Consumer Law still covers clearance stock. If it arrives faulty or isn't what was described, get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Can custom teamwear be returned or exchanged?

No. Custom teamwear is made to order once sizes and artwork are approved, so it can't be returned or exchanged for change of mind or a wrong size. That's why we send proofs and a size confirmation before anything is made.

If an item arrives faulty or doesn't match the approved artwork, email customercare@cmdsports.com.au and we'll replace it.

My item is faulty, or I've received the wrong thing. What happens?

Lodge it through your CMD Sports My Account page, or email customercare@cmdsports.com.au with your order number and a photo of the item.

We'll arrange a replacement where we have stock, or a store credit or full refund if you'd prefer. We cover the postage. This is your right under Australian Consumer Law.

When will I get my refund?

Once your return arrives and passes our check, we process the refund within 5 business days. It goes back to your original payment method, and your bank can take another few days to show it.

Orders and shipping

How long until my order is dispatched?

Orders go out within 1 to 3 business days, and most leave us the next business day. After that it's transit time, which depends on where you are, so metro is usually quick and rural or remote addresses take longer.

You'll get tracking as soon as the parcel leaves us.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is worked out on the size and weight of your order and shows at checkout before you pay, so you'll see the exact figure before you commit to anything.

Where will I see my discount applied?

Any discount you're entitled to shows in your cart and again in the order summary at checkout. Automatic discounts come off there on their own with no code needed, and if you have a code, enter it in the discount box at checkout.

If the price doesn't change at checkout, that offer isn't running at the moment.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

You can cancel an order yourself within 1 hour of placing it, as long as it hasn't shipped yet. Sign in at your CMD Sports My Account page and request the cancellation there.

After that hour, email customercare@cmdsports.com.au with your order number as soon as you can. We'll try to stop it, though we dispatch quickly and can't promise to catch every request.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Tracking is emailed to you as soon as the order is dispatched, and your order status is also in your CMD Sports My Account page.

Can I collect an order instead of having it shipped?

We don't offer customer collection. Every order ships from our warehouse, and you'll get tracking as soon as it's on its way.

Do you ship to New Zealand or overseas?

We ship across Australia and to New Zealand, and both are set up at checkout. Most of our range is available to New Zealand, though some brands can't be sold outside Australia and won't show for a New Zealand address.

We can send some products to other countries as well, depending on the item and destination. Email customercare@cmdsports.com.au with the product and where it's going and we'll confirm what's possible.

Products and warranty

What warranty applies to the products you sell?

Everything we sell is covered by the consumer guarantees in Australian Consumer Law, so a manufacturing fault means a repair, replacement or refund. Some brands add their own warranty on top of that, and where one applies it's stated on the product page.

Normal wear and tear isn't a fault, so it isn't covered either way.

Are wood bats covered if they break?

Breakage isn't covered on wood bats, which is standard across the industry. Wood is a natural material and bats almost always break from contact rather than a fault, whether that's a mis-hit off the handle or end, hitting with the label facing the wrong way, rubber cage balls, or swinging in the cold.

Some models do carry a maker's warranty against manufacturing defects, and it's stated on the product page where it applies.

How do I find the right size?

Each product page has its own size chart. Footwear is listed in both EUR and US sizes, so check the size chart on the product page before ordering.

If you're stuck between two sizes, get in touch and we'll talk it through.

Are knee sleeves and knee pads sold as a pair?

Individually. Every knee sleeve, knee pad and knee brace we sell contains one pad that fits either the left or right leg, so order two if you want both knees covered.
