All-Star Baseball Pants Size Chart

Waist measurements are from All-Star's official baseball pant size chart, shown in inches with a centimetre conversion. Measure around your natural waistline where the pants sit, not over clothing. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger size. Belted styles and pull-up styles are sized differently, so check the table that matches the pants you are buying.

Youth or Adult?

Youth and adult waist ranges overlap, which surprises most people. A Youth XL fits a 32 to 34 inch waist, which is wider than an Adult S. The difference is leg length, not waist. Youth pants are cut shorter through the rise and leg for a growing player, while adult pants are cut longer.

Choose Youth for a junior player who needs a shorter leg, and Adult for a taller player, even where the waist measurement is the same. If a junior is tall for their waist size, an Adult S will usually fit better through the leg.

How to Measure

  1. Use a soft tape measure and wear a single layer of clothing.
  2. Measure around the natural waistline, at the point where the pants will sit. For most players this is just above the hip bones.
  3. Keep the tape level and snug without pulling it tight.
  4. Read the measurement, then find it in the correct table above.

Youth sizes on our listings appear as XS, S, M, L and XL, and on some listings as YS, YM, YL and YXL. These are the same sizes: YS is Youth S, YM is Youth M, YL is Youth L and YXL is Youth XL.
