Our Lightweight Underload Training Bat is designed with a standard game profile but built at -9 weight, allowing hitters to move the barrel faster than their gamer while maintaining proper mechanics. The lighter load activates fast-twitch muscle fibers, sharpens sequencing, and trains the nervous system to operate at higher speeds.
Unlike gimmick trainers that alter swing patterns, this bat keeps the shape familiar — so the speed you build transfers directly into competition.
When integrated into a structured overload/underload program — especially alongside our Heavyweight Overload trainer — underload training has been shown to improve bat speed and increase exit velocity by training both force production and movement efficiency. Many players see their personal exit velocity milestones with this bat.

Orders are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. Shipping costs depend on the size and weight of your item and are shown at checkout before you pay. Larger and heavier items cost more to send.
We ship to all Australian states and territories, and to New Zealand. For some items we can ship further afield. If your location isn't available at checkout, email customercare@cmdsports.com.au and we'll let you know what's possible.

We're an online store, so there's no customer collection point. Every order ships from our warehouse.
Returns and exchanges
You have 30 days from delivery to return an item for change of mind or a wrong size, as long as it's unworn and in original condition with all tags and packaging. Return postage is at your cost, and we cover sending an exchange back out to you. Clearance items are final sale.
Faulty or incorrect items are covered under Australian Consumer Law. We'll replace, credit or refund, and we cover the postage both ways.
There's no drop-off point, so returns come to us by post. To start one, lodge it through your CMD Sports My Account page and we'll email you the return address once it's approved.
